About Me
Hi. I'm Levi Chavez, also known as thenstop. I am an 18 year old high school graduate and I will major in Computer Science and minor in Business Administration in the fall of 2025. In my free time, I enjoy learning about many things, such as philosophy, technology, and the freedoms and issues in our current world. I also love to get the maximum performance out of devices by any means possible. I love learning about how hardware and system administration work, and how they can impact our daily lives. I love Unix, Windows, and open source software as a whole. I am an advocate for freedom of speech and expression, and I love spending time with family and friends, no matter what their ideas or opinions on the world may be. I am always open to improvement and love everyone for who they are, even if we don't see eye to eye.
Futhermore, I have many years over experience in computer science as a whole and generally know my way around every operating system. I have experience administering and using Windows, MacOS, Debian/Ubuntu, RHEL/Fedora, and Arch based Linux distributions. I have learned about Unix and POSIX-compliance, and I am learning how to use the APIs of Oracle Cloud and AWS. I have many projects, like one of the first FOSS MacOS cleanup and optimization tools, called OptiMac. This disables many unnecessary features and cleans up the system in order to get it running in its most optimal state. I have built one desktop completely by myself, and have Librebooted my Dell Optiplex 7010 MT and Lenovo Thinkpad W520. I enjoy learning the latest news on hardware and software in the tech space and have an unmatched dedication to these topics.
